Apple has raised the bar even higher for cell phone competitors with the release of its newest creation, the iPhone 3G.  The design of the iPhone 3G is very similar to the original iPhone with the inclusion of new features.  Among these features are a faster 3G wireless network, Microsoft Exchange server e-mail and impressive amounts of third-party software from the iPhone App Store.  Web surfing and downloads are now much faster on the 3G with sites like WorldofWarcraft.com loading in about ¼ the time that it took on the original iPhone.

Along with improving the  GPS feature, Apple has improved the quality of call performance which had been an issue with the original iPhone.  The new 3G uses satellites to pinpoint your location, as opposed to the cell towers used by the original iPhone.  The GPS works whether you are walking or driving, which can be especially helpful in primarily “walking cities”.  You can also use Google Maps on the 3G, which allows a street view and point-to-point directions.

As far as music is concerned, both the original iPhone and the 3G remain the leading choices for music and video players.  There are few new video features on the iPhone 3G, like iTunes movie rental compatibility, awesome video podcast support, YouTube player, auto bookmarking, full-screen resizing and the capability to use closed captions and chapter bookmarks.

One pretty impressive feature of the iPhone 3G is its Language Support.  It has language support and typing keyboards available in French, Canadian French, German, Dutch, U.K. English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese- either QWERTY and Kana.
